How to peel a tomato easily
Cut off the part with the stem. With a sharp knife cut an X on the opposite end of the tomato. Put it in boiling water for 1 to 1,5 min and then immediately in cold water. After it cools off, peel the tomato skin starting from the X.

Tasty eggplants
The slices of the eggplant will loose their bitter taste if you cover them with salt for 20 to 30 min.

Preserving fresh sauces
In order to preserve the fresh taste of your tomato and other sauces, pour some oil on top of the sauce, before storing it in a refrigerator. The oil also contributes to a better taste of the sauces.
